Alessandro Vesprini is Assistant Professor at the Global College of Kyungsung University and PhD Candidate in International Cooperation and Area Studies at the Graduate School of International Studies of the Pusan National University. He is also part of the 2025 Next Generation Korean Peninsula Specialist Program of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, Regional Research Associate with the Indo-Pacific Studies Centre, and external contributor to the Italian study centre and think tank Geopolitica.info. His main research fields include the Republic of Korea’s domestic and foreign policies, the economic integration in the Indo-Pacific region, and the competition between China and the United States.
