Amelia Hegstrom is a graduate student at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, studying international security and diplomacy with a regional concentration in East Asia. Her work focuses on U.S.-China relations and cross-Strait dynamics, with particular attention to conventional and nuclear deterrence and crisis management. She is currently conducting research on Sino-American strategic stability and the evolution of American nuclear policy.
