Andrew Erskine is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Peace and Diplomacy and a Nonresident Vasey Fellow at the Pacific Forum. During his fellowship with the Pacific Forum, Andrew will explore the importance of the North Pacific in the U.S. Indo-Pacific security and defence frameworks. Andrew was previously a 2025 Arctic Frontier Emerging Leader and a 2025 Young Leader at the Pacific Forum. He has also held research fellowships with the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, NATO Association of Canada and the Consortium of Indo-Pacific Researchers. Andrew’s research focuses on Canadian defence, security and foreign policy as it relates to the Arctic, North America, the Indo-Pacific, and NATO. He graduated from theUniversity of Prince Edward Island with a Masters of Global Affairs, concentrating in Global & Regional Orders, Hegemony, and Polarity.
