Augustya Tiwari

Augustya Tiwari is a researcher specializing in media influence operations, and Indo-Pacific security. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from University of Delhi and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Security Studies from Rashtriya Raksha University, where his academic work focused on Chinese influence operations in the Indo-Pacific and their implications for regional stability. He has interned with the Centre for Air Power Studies, examining media–military relations and the potential adaptation of embedded journalism practices in India, and with the Centre for India’s Neighbourhood and Internal Security Studies, contributing to Indo-Pacific news monitoring and research on India–Bangladesh relations. He has also participated in a workshop hosted by Pacific Forum on media-focused training and accreditation initiatives for journalists, further shaping his interest in information security, disinformation, and U.S.–India cooperation in strengthening resilient media ecosystems across the Indo-Pacific. His research interests include information warfare and media influence operations in the Indo-Pacific, as well as the intersection of media, security, and foreign policy.
