Professor Brian C.H. Fong is Adjunct Fellow at the Pacific Forum.
Professor Fong is Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean of the College of Social Sciences at National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan). Specialising in Great Power Competition, he has published more than 100 scholarly and policy works, including journal articles, book chapters, authored books, edited volumes, policy reports, and foreign policy commentaries. He is the author of US-China Rivalry: Great Power Competition in the Indo-Pacific (Edinburgh University Press, 2024) and US-EU-Russia Rivalry: Great Power Competition in the Euro-Atlantic (Edinburgh University Press, 2026), as well as the lead editor of The Routledge Handbook of Great Power Competition (Routledge, 2024).
