Kevin Rudd is current Australian Ambassador to the United States. He served as Australia’s 26th Prime Minister from 2007 to 2010, then as Foreign Minister from 2010 to 2012, before returning as Prime Minister in 2013.
He most recently was President and CEO of the Asia Society and the inaugural president of the Asia Society Policy Institute. He is a leading international authority on China who previously served in the Australian Embassy in Beijing.
Pacific Forum Worldwide Support for Development-Handa Haruhisa Chair Ralph Cossa will moderated the Conversation, which focused on Australia-US and Australia-China relations and Australia’s growing regional security role through initiatives like the Quad and AUKUS.
