16th Annual Japan-U.S. Security Seminar
15 January, 2010 - 17 January, 2010
10:00 pm - 2:30 am
This conference has been chosen as a kick-off event to begin the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the U.S.-Japan Alliance. The Pacific Forum is pleased to cosponsor this seminar with the Japan Institute of International Affairs. The Japan-U.S. Security Seminar has earned a reputation for playing an important role in promoting candid, off-the-record dialogue between our two nations, aimed at strengthening the alliance by anticipating and offering suggestions to address potential alliance problems. As is our tradition, participants will include current and former government officials, analysts, and scholars who are the most knowledgeable in our two countries on alliance management.
While the Jan. 16 sessions are by invitation only, the public is invited to a panel discussion from 2-5PM on Friday, Jan. 15 at the Willard Hotel.
