CHINA Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections

Pacific Forum, in conjunction with the National Committee on US-China Relations, will host this year’s meeting at the Hawaii State Capitol Auditorium from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parking information is forthcoming.

This year, the featured speakers will be Gary F. Locke, US Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China (via live web cast) and Ralph A. Cossa, president of Pacific Forum.  The web cast will be moderated by Stephen A. Orlins, President, National Committee on US-China Relations.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

The schedule is:

1:00 – 1:30 p.m. Registration

1:30 p.m. Opening remarks

2:00 – 2:45  p.m. Webcast featuring Gary F. Locke, US Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China

2:45-3:00 p.m. Q&A session

3:00-3:45 p.m. Presentation by Ralph Cossa, President, Pacific Forum, on the US “rebalance” and China

3:45 p.m. Q&A session

4:30 p.m. Adjourn
