Indian Ocean Security

The Indian Ocean Security Program addresses the growing strategic importance of the Indian Ocean as a center of global trade, energy flows, and geopolitical competition.

Pacific Forum engages regional and extra-regional stakeholders to examine maritime security, infrastructure development, strategic chokepoints, and the role of middle powers.

The program emphasizes inclusive dialogue among South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Indo-Pacific partners, fostering shared understanding and cooperative approaches to stability, resilience, and rules-based order in the Indian Ocean region.
