Dr Tereza Novotná

Dr Tereza Novotná is a Non-Resident Kelly Fellow at The Pacific Forum, Senior Affiliate Researcher at Free University Berlin, a Korea Associate at 9DashLine and a Senior Associate Research Fellow at the EUROPEUM Prague. At FU Berlin, she led a Korea Foundation research project on pandemic in Europe and Asia and an EU-funded project on EU’s foreign policy towards North Korea. In 2017-2018, Tereza was a Korea Foundation Visiting Professor at Seoul National University and a Fudan Fellow at Fudan University Shanghai. In 2024, she was a visiting professor at LUISS University Rome. Tereza received her Ph.D. in Politics and European Studies from Boston University and other degrees from Charles University Prague. She has widely published in, among others, Journal of European Integration, Journal of Common Market Studies, and Asia Europe Journal and in numerous policy outlets, including in Asia Times, 38th North, The Diplomat, The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, 9DashLine, NK Pro, Bulletin of the East West Center and others. Tereza frequently comments in English, Czech and German for media outlets such as Indus News, ARD/ZDF, Swiss, Czech and Slovak TVs and radios, NK News, Radio Free Asia, and Kyiv Independent.
