Rei Koga is currently a WSD-Handa Research Fellow at Pacific Forum. She is a Ph.D. candidate in International Political Economy at the Department of European and International Studies, King’s College London (KCL). Her research interest revolves around Chinese economic statecraft and responses in the Indo-Pacific region. Prior to joining King’s, she studied at the University of Bristol and was awarded Master of Research in Global Political Economy with Distinction in 2022. During her master’s study, she was a Rotary Global Grants Scholarship student. She also worked for the Cabinet Secretariat from 2016 to 2019.
