Yijing Shen is a graduate student of M.A. in Asian Studies at Georgetown University and proficient in Chinese and Japanese. Her research interest is in politics and economy in Northeast Asia. With a strong interest in unpacking the dynamics of geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific through international reporting, she has previously interned at Reuters’ Beijing Bureau, South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, and Japanese public broadcaster NHK in Tokyo. She graduated with a BA in Political Science and Economics from Waseda University in 2024.
