Anaïs Matte is a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Public and International Law from France. She is currently spending a gap year before pursuing a Master’s in International Governance and Diplomacy at Sciences Po Paris. As part of this year, she is based in Hawai‘i for six months to gain hands-on experience in international affairs and strengthen her professional and academic readiness for graduate studies. Her primary interests lie in international political affairs, strategic cooperation, and global security. She aims to contribute to international institutions and policy-oriented organizations that shape state-to-state relations. Coming from Europe, she has a strong interest in the Pacific Forum’s work on deepening engagement between the Indo-Pacific and NATO, an area that directly relates to her regional background and long-term career goals in diplomacy and international strategy.
