Consul-General Scott Dewar delivered remarks on: “Parting Shot: The Trajectory of the Australia-US Alliance,” that represented his thoughts as he prepared to leave Hawaii and take on new responsibilities in Canberra, Australia.

Scott Dewar is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australia and until recently was seconded as a Visiting Fellow to the Australian Centre on China in the World at the Australian National University. Between February 2008 and September 2010 he was an adviser on international, defense and national security issues in the Prime Minister’s Office, and has previously served overseas with DFAT in China and Korea.
