Hyunseung Yu is a Research Assistant at the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), focusing on the defense industry. His personal research interests are alliance politics in Northeast Asia, the Korean Peninsula security issues, and nuclear deterrence. He has previously interned at think tanks, including the CSIS Korea Chair, the Wilson Center, and the Pacific Forum. He holds an M.A. in Asian Studies from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a B.Soc.Sci. in International Relations from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.
