Hyunseung Yu is a current MA in Asian Studies student at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. His research interest is Northeast Asia security issues with a primary focus on the Korean Peninsula. Especially, he is interested in US-ROK-Japan trilateral relations and North Korea nuclear issues. He currently is a Research Assistant at Georgetown University Security Studies Program and Assistant Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Asian Affairs. He has previously interned at the Sejong Institute Center for Japan Studies and Northeast Asia Research (NEAR) Foundation, and served in the Korea Army at the Demilitarized Zone.
