Takanobu SATO is a PhD candidate at Waseda University. His research interests focus on governance mechanisms of science, technology, and innovation initiatives in the context of international security. He has conducted various policy research to enhance technological cooperation and non-proliferation. Most recently, he has been involved in policy research, related to industrial and technological cooperation between Japan and Europe as an expert at the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation. His recent research topics are cooperation on technology promotion and protection, and its impact on defense and security, especially in the Indo-Pacific region.
