A group of 12 Pacific Forum Young Leaders from Taiwan, China, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, and the United States convened in Taipei Aug. 24-25, 2009 for the Asia-Pacific Security Forum (APSF). With professional and educational experience as diverse as those geographic backgrounds, the participants took full advantage of the opportunity to exchange views and collaborate on new ideas about regional security – with particular focus on Taiwan’s present status and future ambitions.
