Issues & Insights Vol. 08 – No. 17

If the U.S.-Japan-China relationship is one of the most important relationships in the world – and we believe that it is – then there is a special burden on the next generation in the three countries to understand each other and be prepared to work together to solve shared problems and tackle common concerns. The Pacific Forum has promoted a trilateral dialogue among the three countries for over a decade. For the last four years, we have brought Young Leaders to those meetings as well, so that they can begin to know each other, to better understand the issues, and (hopefully) to commence applying themselves to problem solving.
