Philip Alegre is a security analyst at the Secretariat of the National Security Council of the Philippines. His work focuses on crafting policies and strategy documents on various national security concerns such as terrorism, insurgency, and maritime security. He was part of the technical unit that facilitated the crafting of the National Security Policy 2023-2028 and the National Security Strategy 2024 of the Philippines. He was part of the 2022 cohort of the US-Philippines Next Generation Leaders in Security Initiative. Also in 2022, he obtained a special certificate in the Security Sector Governance and Reform Program of the Folke Bernadotte Academy of Sweden.
