Seongeun Lee’s research interests lie at the intersection of interstate communication, crisis management, and emerging technologies. He has over seven years of experience working across various Korean government agencies, where he developed a strong interest in how states craft, convey, and interpret diplomatic signals. His current work explores crisis communication during the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis and the 2017–2018 North Korea crisis. He holds master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins SAIS, Tsinghua University, and KAIST, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
