Lean Karlo Santos Tolentino earned B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering (cum laude) from Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) Manila in 2010, M.S. in Electronics Engineering (Microelectronics) from Mapúa University in 2015, and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (System-on-Chip) from National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 2024. He worked as an IC layout engineer at ROHM LSI Design Philippines (2010–2013). Since 2015, he has been an Associate Professor at TUP Manila, serving as Electronics Engineering Department Head (2017–2019), Director for University Extension Services (2019–2020), and Dean of the College of Engineering (since March 1, 2024). He is a Philippine Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) and ASEAN Engineer, an IEEE Senior Member, an NRCP Regular Member, Chair of the IEEE Control Systems Society in the IEEE Philippines Section, PAES Secretary, and a member of DTI-BPS technical committees. He is a 2025 IEC Young Professional.
