Tom Le is an associate professor of politics at Pomona College and a research associate at the PRIME Institute at Meiji Gakuin University. Le is the author of Japan’s Aging Peace: Pacifism and Militarism in the Twenty-First Century (Columbia University Press, June 2021). His work has been published in the Journal of Asian Studies and the Journal of Asian Security and International Affairs, and in popular outlets such as Foreign Affairs and the Washington Post. He is currently a US-Japan Leadership Program delegate, Mansfield-Luce Asia Scholars Network fellow, and Mansfield US-Japan Network for the Future fellow. His work has been supported by institutions such as the Japan Foundation, Korea Foundation, Fulbright Program, and Graves Award in the Humanities. He received a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Irvine, and BAs in history and political science from the University of California, Davis.
